KAIZEN: a Japanese word meaning – Betterment, improvement, incremental
and continuous improvement.
DOJO: a Japanese word meaning –
Hall used for martial arts training,
a place of enlightenment, school of knowledge
and understanding.
KAIZEN DOJOS: Translated means –
A Forever Improving Training Centre.
Translation of black text reading from top to bottom:
Left side:
Japanese and Chinese writing – Empty Hand Way Red Dragon System (Zen Do Kai)
Centre:
Filipino Alibata writing – E Presas Kombatan (Kombatan Arnis)
Right side:
Thai writing – Muay Thai (Thai Kickboxing)
These are the 3 main systems taught here at AMAF, taught as individual arts or
collectively to form our Zen Do Kai Freestyle / Advanced Martial Arts & Fitness.
Triangle: Indicates the 3 main points of life that we all need for success but just as
important the path in which we need to, or have travelled along to get there.
• Emotional - positive state of mind.
• Physical - condition of our body/vessel.
• Spiritual - values of heart and soul.
Colours:
• Red: emotion, recognizable for strong feelings like aggression and courage.
• Blue: spirituality, self control that of thought and passiveness.
• Yellow: loyalty, trustworthy, honour.
• White: enlightenment, positive aura that should always surround us.
Circle: Bond of qualities that keep us complete, well rounded, balanced and together.

Shadow Warrior: The Heart of the Martial Artist; deep inside our body lies a heart
that no one can see. We show our heart in the form of a shadow, so all can see what is
behind this machine. Our heart is a warrior, battling the fight of today’s problems with
values and qualities like that of the Samurai.
